CELEBRITIES - JACKIE O? OH NO ITS JUST KATIE

If you haven't heard, Katie Holmes is in town shoo
ting her miniseries The Kennedys which is set to air on the History Channel.

Little diva Suri was on set to visit mommy and I must say they both looked so nice. The Jackie O signature pearl and bob suited Katie so well. And well, little miss Suri looked precious as usual in her floral print flats.

It'll be nice to see Holmes on our TVs again and not just in tabloids or the occasional movie.

Speaking of projects, Katie and her stylist Jeanne Yang launched their Holmes & Yang line at Barney's New York. I cannot wait to see it! Have any of you seen it?

GOSSIP - BYE BYE LINDSAY

Bye bye Lilo, 3 months in jail for my homegirl. And then another 3 months in rehab.
I actually felt so bad for Lindsay no matter how fucked up she is. And by the way, she has a really good lawyer, I was convinced.

music - sweet thing

If i've ever seen a band that has stage presence, this is it. This 5 piece out of Toronto plays infectious pop tunes that make it impossible to not find yourself dancing like a crazy person, and clapping along to the beat.

MUSIC - MY PICK OF THE WEEK. JUNE27-JULY3

I've been cleaning out my iTunes and adding to my library for the last month and I've discovered so many good bands, djs and solo acts (obviously with the help of friends). So I've decided that once a week I'm going to share with you one of my current iTunes favorites.

This week I'm starting with Florence and the Machine, a solo act out of the UK with artist Florence Welch and a collaboration of other artists who provide backing music for her voice. Now considering I'm not the music expert here (we all know Rachel is), I'm going to stop here. But I will give out one of my favorite songs, and suggest you check them out for yourselfs :)

FASHION - MCQUEEN DRESSES FAIL TO SELL?

They were the first of the designer's creations since his suicide in February to be auctioned. It took place in London at Bonhams auction house yesterday but unfortunately they did not sell. (Why, I have no clue. But if I had the money for both they'd be sold.)

The dresses are from his "Salem Witch" Fall/Winter 2007 collection. The gold sequined one (right) was worn by Australian pop star Holly Valance at the Brit Awards just days after McQueens death, it was valued at $17,939 to $26,905. The peacock feather one (left - I think its one of my favorites by McQueen) was valued at $14,949 to $20,923.
