GOSSIP/POP CULTURE - LINDSAY, NOT AGAIN :(.

I am probably the only person I know who is still rooting for Lindsay Lohan, and I'm so disappointed to see that Lilo f***ed uo yet again. Yesterday (May 24th) Lindsay strutted her stuff in a white shirt and black pantsuit to court for her probation status hearing, which was originally schedule last week.

Lilo had missed the original date because her passport was somehow stolen from her hotel room in Cannes, France where she was promoting her lated film and well partying late into the night (obviously). She returned to L.A Saturday after her 7 day trip to attended the hearing on Monday, which did I mention she was 10 minutes late for?

So the judge clearly seeing Lindsay not being serious about the situation, set a list of restrictions on her which would prevent her from working on upcoming projects. The restrictions are:

- Random weekly drug testing

- Random weekly alcohol testing

- Has to wear an alcohol monitoring device

She didn't even complete the drug and alcohol education classes she was suppost to do for her 2007 arrest. All I can say Lindsay baby, is you're screwed :(.

MUSIC - A LESSON IN ROCKSTARDOM

Little Miss RiRi has done it again with her newest single Rockstar 101. I bought the album like, the day it came out, and although I've always liked the song, I never really fancied it as much as some of the other ballads and bad-ass tunes. However, I see why this one was picked to be the next release, it works perfectly as a catchy single, with an even more addictive video.

While I was watching it, I couldn't help but start to think of how far Rihanna as come since her first song. Let's take a trip down memory lane shall we?

It's kind of like when you look at a persons most recent Facebook picture, and then go Previously back to that first picture they used, from a good 3-4 years ago. What a change, and personally I think it was for the good. Because you and I both know, if Rihanna kept her Dancehall look and sound, she probably wouldn't have been as successful as she is today.

MUSIC - RIP

Slipknot bassist Paul Gray was found dead in an Iowa hotel room yesterday.

The bassist, 38, who was one of the original members was expecting his first child with his wife.

Police indicated no foul play, however there will be further investigation into his death.

The band has already paid a tribute to the late member by posting a solo picture of Gray on their website. The autopsy is set for today. I'll definitively keep posted on this tragedy.

In memory of Paul, I've decided to post a couple of my favorite tunes from the band. I was never a die hard Slipknot fan, however I've always listened to their music, and appreciated their talent.

Usually I'm not a fan of what comes out when a talent steps out of their art and tries to concurn another aspect of pop culture. But this time around, model and wife of Jack White Karen Elson picks up a guitar and sings to a melody that gives me serious goosebumps. She releases her album this week entitled The Ghost Who Walks and I have to say I'm excited to hear it. Here's Elson in the Style Studio singing "Cruel Summer"

GOSSIP - LILO & INDRA?

So the rumour around town is Lilo is on to the next with Indian Photograher Indrani Pal Chaudhuri, who is 13 years older than her. Sources have apparently seen the two show one another affection, and Indrani told The New York Post that the pair had been "spending a lot of time together". Indrani is quoted telling The NYP "After spending lot of time with her, I must say I have never met a fascinating, smart and extremely gorgeous woman to have a relationship with as Lindsay Lohan. She’s also super-hot and it was fun being with her.”

Lindsay quickly dismissed the rumours saying “Not at all, I’m no way dating this Indrani character.” to several sources. Who really knows what the deal is with these two. I'm going to have to be on Lilo's side with this one, seeing as she did say while dating SaMan that if she wasn't with Ronson, she'd probably be with another guy.

Lohan is currently in Cannes promoting her Linda Lovelace biopic (which I am very interested to see Lindsay's "comback"). So being busy with promoting the movie, and now these rumours it seems Lindsay is having trouble completing her alcohol classes, and shes only 3 classes away before her deadline, which is tomorrow. I'm routing for you Lindsay!

POP CULTURE - MEGAN FOX IN ALLURE JUNE 2010

I can honestly say I am not one of those insane Megan Fox fans, and most of the time when I express my feelings towards her I get hounded. Don't get me wrong, I think she's a gorgeous girl, however her movies and roles haven't been anything super challanging. One thing I can definitively give her kudos for, is her big mouth (heck we all know I'm guilty of that aswell) and her free will to say whatever she thinks. Because let's face it, these days in Hollywood no one has the balls to stand out and speak their mind.

She made the cover for the June 2010 issue of Allure, and all in all, the pictures were great, but the story even better. Megan dicusses her topless pictures that were leaked, plastic surgery and her take on industry events. Here's a little sneak peak of her spread, enjoy!

I was pretty anxious for the new Broken Social Scene album to hit stores (which was on May 4th) and I have to say it was worth the wait.
